Hi! My name is Fernando Alcantara and I am a future Cybersecurity warrior!

My background spans multiple industries such as journalism, advertising, and business development. With my experience in staff and customer support for privately-owned enterprises I have refined an ability to understand systems and I have developed a passion for discovering new skills which has fueled my current career change.

The pandemic highlighted a personal need to discover an industry that could prevail during such times, which led me to finding my passion for cybersecurity and the information security field.

I am months away from completing an amazing and rigorous Cybersecurity Professional Certification program at Cal State Long Beach. When completed, I will have been a recipient of over 540+ hours of hands-on, expert-led instruction in the world of Cybersecurity by some of the field's top infosec and information technology experts. The combined experience of my instructors totaling over 180+ years of experience.
